Small Business Owners Respond to President Obama's Latest Jobs Strategy

After President Obama's speech yesterday on his new jobs plan, we conducted an overnight email survey of more than 1,500 small business owners among American Solutions members.

The survey found that the President's plan for a second big government stimulus is not welcomed by America's job creators.

Most notably, small business owners preferred by a 3 to 1 margin a reduction in the payroll tax vs. President Obama's proposal for temporary suspension of the capital gains tax.  They also overwhelmingly preferred permanent vs. temporary changes to the tax code.

See the charts below for the results of the five questions about small business. Click here to see the remaining survey questions that show the belief of job creators that President Obama's health care and energy tax bills -- the cornerstone of what he calls the "new foundation" for America's economy -- won't create jobs.
