Steve Everley

Steve Everley joined American Solutions in August of 2009.  Mr. Everley manages all policy research, including the development of outreach strategies to expand American Solutions' role as a leading voice for common sense solutions to America's toughest problems. He is also responsible for researching key legislative initiatives affecting government at the national, state, and local levels.

Prior to joining American Solutions, Mr. Everley was a research assistant for Newt Gingrich at the American Enterprise Institute, where he focused primarily on energy and environmental policy.  At AEI he composed op-eds, assessed the viability of academic studies on environmental policy and climate change, and assisted with drafting congressional testimony.  Mr. Everley also completed an internship with the Claremont Institute in Claremont, CA, in the summer of 2006, where he researched American foreign policy.

A lifelong Kansas Jayhawks fan, Steve graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors degree in American History.  At KU, Everley served on the Dean's Executive Student Council, a body of 11 students appointed by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences tasked with formulating and reviewing University-wide policies.  Steve later studied environmental history at the University of Southern California for two years.

Mr. Everley currently resides in Washington, DC.
